Apple recently introduced Apple Arcade, a video game subscription service for iOS devices, Apple TV and Mac, but it didn't reveal pricing.
But, from 9to5Mac, Guilherme Rambo claims to have noticed the price specified in the Store API application. It will likely cost $4,99 a month, he said, when it rolls out this fall - though Apple has yet to confirm that price. It could be an introductory price, for example. Keep in mind Apple's Apple Music and Apple News Plus subscription service both cost $9.99 per month.
- Apple Arcade is a subscription game for mobile devices, Apple TV and Mac
Apple has already said that Apple Arcade users will receive a one-month free trial of the service, and that the game library will include more than 100 titles at launch. The company has signed a number of key development partners, including Sega, Konami, Lego, studio boss, and cartoon network. These plan to provide games to launch further, with new titles added to the service each month.
- What is Apple Arcade, how much will it cost and when will it be available?
Arcade users will be able to start on one device and pick up on another, according to Apple, and they won't have to worry about in-app purchases or additional subscriptions. Apple Arcade will even support Family Sharing for a group of up to six people.
Apple won't give an exact launch date for its Arcade service, but the in-app tabs aren't showing from "Fall 2019."
