As Xiaomi is going to introduce the Redmi Note 8 along with its 70-inch Redmi TV in an event scheduled for August 29th in China. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun took to Weibo and showed off a poster for the upcoming Redmi 70-inch TV.
A user seems to have asked him in the comments if we can expect to see Note 8 on the same day that Jun replied with a thumbs up emoji.
While this is not official confirmation, most of it is for sure a nod to the Redmi Note Series 8, which has been said to be in development. Lei Jun has already teased some of the key areas the company is working on the successor to the Redmi Note 7 series. They include advanced cameras, battery efficiency and more screen real estate to play around with.

Xiaomi has also shown earlier that they have a plan to bring phones with 64MP camera sensor, so we could see that on one of the Redmi Note 8 phones.
Coming to Redmi TV, we know through the details on the poster that it will be equipped with a huge 70-inch display. Although still unknown, the TV should be 4K given its size and will be powered by PatchWall OS like other Xiaomi TVs. There are also rumors of a 40-inch Redmi TV, so we could also see that during the event on August 29th.
We'll keep an eye on developments in this area and let you know as we head closer to launch day.
