Amazon slashed prices on its devices at the end of the summer/back to school sales, including the new Amazon Echo 5, which has only been around for a few months.
The device's 5.5-inch smart display will cost you just $64.99 on Amazon in the US and only £69.99 on Amazon UK. That's a $25/£10 savings on regular, matching prices.
The Amazon Echo 5 is a smaller version of the company's excellent smart assistant with a screen.
It sports a 5,5-inch display with a resolution of 940 x 480 pixels and measures just 148 x 86 x 73mm and weighs 410g. Making it ideal for use as a bedside smart alarm clock or kitchen helper.
There's a 1-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls (720p) and a built-in speaker for listening to Spotify, Amazon music, TuneIn radio, and more streaming audio tracks. Video playback is also included, with several compatible services.
Of course, being an Echo device, the Show 5 is Alexa-enabled, so you can use the voice assistant to bring all sorts of details to the screen - including weather, news and recipes.
It can also be used to control smart home appliances, including a doorbell ring that will show you who is at your front door and even let you talk to them directly.
