New Amazon Echo (2nd generation)

Amazon Echo is a new version of the original Alexa smart speaker. It's cheaper than its predecessor, which is great, but if you're after top notch audio, then go for Echo Plus (below). We believe this model will be replaced in September/October 2019.

The second-generation Amazon Echo Plus is the best option for music lovers. It offers excellent fucking-enhanced sound, which is a huge improvement over the standard Echo. Echo Plus has all the Alexa skills you know and love, but it's a much more capable, smart home controller thanks to the presence of ZigBee technology.

The echo dot is a small cylinder that was redesigned in 2018 with a very stubby speaker compared to the previous generation. Now it can be used for music in a small space. There's a 3,5mm audio jack and Bluetooth to make other devices smart (if that's all you want, see below). It's basically just on top of the Amazon Echo and it can do all the same things.

Announced the composition of the Amazon big Echo upgrade last September entering Echo as Echo point, but without any type of speaker inside. It's literally about bringing Alex to another speaker that has its own power supply and 3.5mm input (just like Chromecast audio).

So called because of its compact 5,5-inch display, the latest Echo is a very small device at a great price. Indeed, because it effectively competes with the standard Amazon Echo on price, we think many will instead thump for this device. As an echo, it can also be used as a fade-in alarm, and there's also a privacy shutter on the camera.
The Echo Show 5 is available in charcoal (pictured) and sandstone, as well as an optional magnetic stand so you can tilt your device.
Amazon Echo Show (2nd generation)

Data Echo is a touch screen device with built-in Alexa and it can do everything others can already, but there's a built-in display to show you information like the full weather forecast, recipes and, even, an image from your video doorbell ring. Skype support will also come. The second generation is represented by far punchy sound and a large display, too.
Echo Wall Clock

The wall clock is a bit of an odd Echo device because it doesn't have Alexa built in. Instead, it relies on you to have a friend Alexa device around which can be combined with anyone. The clock allows you to visually display timers on your wall, so you can see when your broccoli is due right away. Setting up the clock is simple - there are fixers and batteries built into the walls. Once you've popped in batteries, sync the clock on your compatible "Echo" device by saying "Alexa, install Echo Wall Clock".
Amazon Echo Spots

On Amazon, the Echo Spot is like the round version of the Echo 5. Or the Echo Dot with a 2,5-inch screen if you like. It is designed as a bedside device so Alexa can wake you up every day. As in the Echo line, it can be used to make video calls with the front camera.

It's a Wi-Fi camera that offers full Alexa, but also plus hands-free photos and videos. It's piercing like a cloud fashion consultant that lets you take pictures of yourself while dressed. Alexa's software automatically blurs the background in each image to make your outfit pop, and then it uses machine learning to serve up Amazon Fashion recommendations.

Echo Connect is a box that you plug your landline phone into to turn it into a voice-controlled system. The field works with Echo to give you Alexa control over your regular phone line. You will be able to make and receive calls at home by simply saying it to answer or call a contact. It's in the US now and will apparently come to the UK and Germany this year.
