macOS 10.14 Mojave release date
Apple announced macOS 10.14 Mojave in June 2018 at conferences WWDC 2018where most of its features have been demonstrated. This was followed by a public beta launch in July, and finally a full launch on September 24, 2018.
Apple has kept macOS 10.14 Mojave updated with all the latest features. The latest of these updates, macOS 10.14.4, brings dark mode to Safari, along with a new Apple News+ services. Dark Mode

View Gallery
In macOS 10.14 Mojave, Apple has included a new gallery view in the Finder. This view allows you to quickly view, annotate, and edit files. No matter which file you choose, you'll be able to quickly and easily find exactly what you're looking for.
It's made even better thanks to the incredibly detailed display of metadata in the preview area. This feature makes it easier than ever before to view all information about any file on your computer.
Finally, thanks to the addition of Quick Actions in the preview pane, you don't even have to leave Finder to work with files if you're editing images or adding file protection. You can even highlight Automator tasks as Quick Actions to make browsing files even easier.
Camera Continuity
If you often find yourself having to import a document or photo on a project you are working on, then you can get a lot of use out of Camera Continuity. This feature is easier than ever to do just that.
In many different applications - and pages, for example - you can simply control + click in the body of the document, and select "take a photo" or "scan documents". Then let's proceed to open the camera on your iPhone or iPad so that you can take a photo that immediately pops it right into something that you could work with.
It's easy to use. It's comfortable. And it will be a boon for everyone to save time while doing school assignments or in that next big work project.
Markup quick look and screenshots
Quick Look is already the quickest and easiest way to view files, but macOS 10.14 Mojave is taking that accessibility to a new level. With this update, you can also quickly and efficiently use markup to edit the files you have open at a glance.
Markup is also available on screenshots, which means you can easily lift any screenshot and edit any content inside. Being able to quickly crop screenshots in macOS Mojave without having to open any third party photo editing software It will be a massive time saver.
Whenever you take a screenshot, you will see a preview of the image pop up, just like in on iOS 12that you can click to preview and edit screenshots.
That's not all. Screenshots are still fast, but with macOS Mojave, a new easy-to-use menu includes screen-recording tools that allow you to record animated content. Perhaps even more importantly, you may decide to save the screenshot to your clipboard, saving you time - not to mention space - if you have to send someone a quick screenshot but don't want that screenshot to fill up storage.
Applications
Apple News, Stocks, Voice Memos, and Home have all been ported from iOS to macOS and Mojave, with special care to optimize them for your computer.

10.14 specifications and macOS Mojave
It's a pity that with all these new features, some Macs will have to go without access to macOS Mojave. This is a departure from macOS High and Sierra, which have essentially the same system requirements as macOS 10.12.
macOS 10.14 requires at least 14.3 GB of free hard drive space to install, which is what it took last year. To be on the safe side, keep at least 20 GB of free space.
Although, on macOS Mojave requires more powerful hardware than High Sierra. macOS 10.13 requires at least 2GB of RAM and OS X 10.8 or later doesn't. These Macs are supported in macOS 10.14 Mojave.

Unfortunately, while the required models don't usually change from year to year, they are from macOS 10.14. If you have an old MacBook, you might be able to get new devices to enjoy this new version of the OS.
