Spotify is apparently looking for new ways to enhance its podcast platform, apparently with a test button that allows users to create podcasts.
This new button in his app, noticed by researcher Jane Wong noticed, is located in Spotify's podcast library. It says “create a podcast” and when tapped, it will start to anchor the app on your phone (if installed) or load the about app page. In a statement, Spotify said it is "always testing new products." He also noted that while some of these tests have become upgrades, others remain tests.

I remember how Spotify acquired Anchor, a tech podcast company, earlier this year. Anchor makes it easy to create podcasts, including recording podcasts, right from your phone. Spotify also owns a company called Soundtrap that makes podcast editing software.

Thus, the appearance of the button to create a podcast is not exactly a shock. It's still interesting, though, since the idea of being able to record, edit, and download podcasts on the fly, while using just the Spotify app, can be a dream come true for those who are itching to try their hand at podcasting.
People do it with videos using apps like Facebook and Instagram and YouTube, so why can't you with podcasts too?
