Apple has just invited the press, including Pocket Snack, to an event at Apple Park in September.
The company usually announces a new iPhone lineup on the second Tuesday in September. Like clockwork, the invitation arrived. The event will take place on Tuesday, September 10 at 10 am Fri at the Steve Jobs Theater at the Apple Cupertino Campus Park. Invites usually tease the theme of the event, but this particular one simply features an updated, transparent version of the classic apple logo color code.
And the slogan of the invite simply says, "innovative." So what does all this mean? It's hard to say for sure, but based on a few leaks and obvious guesses, we can expect the 2019 iPhone line to debut. There should be three different models: two with OLED screens in 5,8 and 6,5-inch sizes, and one iPhone LCD that's 6,1 inches. All three will be specs and camera improvements, too.

Apple iPhone events can also be viewed by updated Apple Watches - maybe even the new 10.2-inch iPad and 16-inch MacBook Pro as well. However, Apple can wait to introduce these devices at the second fall event, as it has done in the past.
Time to get excited
If you're an Apple user, it's time to get excited because shiny new things are on their way.
While Apple didn't detail anything in particular to invite or give any clues from this time around, it seems that there will be new iPhones (naturally), new Apple Watches (maybe just new materials), more details at its an OS update (iOS 13, iPadOS 13, macOS) and of course a big shout out to its new Apple TV+ and Apple arcade services. Apple might get very excited and detailed about the new AirPods too, but I think it's a long shot.
What we don't expect is new iPads or new Macs. While the rumors on both are gaining momentum, Apple tends to prefer to keep it back to its own event in October. Bottom line, if you were about to buy a new iPhone, don't. Wait a few weeks and get the latest version or find a deal on current models.
Apple hardware will also ship with the latest version of the operating system. We expect iOS 13 to be released alongside macOS Catalina, watchOS 6, iPadOS, and tvOS 13. Apple Arcade and Apple TV+ should also launch this fall.
Apple will stream live on its website and on Apple TV. Pocket Snack will bring you breaking news as it happens.
