The article claims that "the communication function between the camera body and the interchangeable lens will be higher than the expensive 'EOS R' released in October 2018."

EOS RX or EOS-1D x Mark III?

While Canon will no doubt expand its EOS R mirrorless line to cater to a wider audience than currently attracted to the RP EOS and EOS models, with the 2020 Olympics less than a year away, there's a lot of speculation that the company will upgrade it first. aging EOS-1D Mark II x in favor of sports and photojournalists.

Considering that the EOS R line is still very much in its infancy, it seems more reliable that professional photographers shooting, locations and level action prefer to rely on models more akin to what they already own.

Indeed, while there is a lot of focus on how Canon will develop the EOS EOS R and M mirrorless lines to challenge the likes of Sony and Fujifilm, the company has kept its promise to continue powering DSLR users with the launch of the EOS Rebel model SL3/ 250D EOS and EOS more than 90 days this year.
