Announced in July, Asus ROG phone 2 finally made it to India. Gaming oriented offers to buy a Taiwanese electronics manufacturer TV with a refresh rate of 120Hz AMOLED screen, making it one of a kind. The Rather phone 2 comes close to a 120Hz display but uses an IPS LCD panel.
The Horn Phone 2 was also the first phone to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, but since its announcement we've seen a bunch of other phones shaking it, like the Black Shark 2 Pro and more recently the Redmi K20 Pro Premium.
Let's take a quick look at the specs, pricing, and availability of the ASUS Rogue 2 phone.
Price and Availability
The Rogue Phone 2 will be offered in two storage configurations - with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage priced at Rs 37,999 and 12GB RAM and 512GB storage priced at Rs 59,999.
The 8GB variant of the phone ROG 2 comes with an 18W fast charging adapter 4.0 and an Areo case in the box while the 12GB RAM variant will come with a 30W ROG charger, an AeroActive cooler and an Aero case.
It will go on sale starting September 30th at 12 noon on Flipkart in a big Billion Days sale. There is a 10% discount for bank debit/credit card holders and ICICI bank credit card holders. However, please note that only the 8GB memory model of the Roga 2 phone will be available initially, and ASUS has yet to reveal when the maxed out variant will be available for purchase.
Asus has developed compatible phone accessories for the Horn 2 to enhance the gaming experience on the phone. This includes AeroActive Cooler II priced at Rs 3,999, Professional Docks at Rs 5,499, Lighting Armor Case priced at Rs 2,999, Twinview Dock II for Rs 19,999, Mobile Desktop Dock at Rs 12,999 and Kunai Horn Gamepad at Rs 9,999 rupees.

ASUS ROG phone 2 specifications
The ASUS RO 2 phone has a 6.59-inch full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution AMOLED screen. The display is certified for true 10-bit HDR gaming and video playback and has a 120Hz refresh rate with a response time of just 1ms. There is a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on the front for drop protection. Fingerprint sensor built into the display.
The body of the phone is made of aluminum, and the back cover gets circuitry moments in the form of leading lines that reflect different shades of colors as light hits it from different angles.
It moderates heat dissipation through the aerodynamic play of the cool ROG II system, which consists of a heatsink, 3D vapor chamber, graphite, copper spacers and a heat transfer vent. These elements are stacked together inside the body and aim to improve the thermal performance of the phone.
It is 9.48 mm thin and weighs a discreet 240 grams. It also packs a 6000 mAh battery which is also responsible for boosting to a certain extent.
The ROG Phone 2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, which is an upgraded version of the SD SoC 855. It was built for extreme gaming performance with a 15% improvement in graphics rendering processed by the Adreno 640 and up to 2.96 GHz clock speed. It's paired with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/512GB UFS 3.0 storage.
It runs on UI Rig which is based on Android 9.0 Pie.
ASUS don't miss out on equipping the ROG phone 2 with a flagship-level camera system. It has a dual camera setup on the back, which is similar to the one on the ASUS 6Z (a.k.a. the Zenfone 6). It consists of a primary 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor with f/1.7 and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 123-degree field of view.
At the front, there is a 24MP, f/2.0 aperture selfie camera.
As the phone has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, it gives way to dual front facing speakers assisted by two NXP smart amplifiers to enhance sound quality. It also supports DTS:X ultra surround sound and has a 3,5mm audio jack that supports Hi-Res audio.
There is a Type-C USB port on the bottom that supports fast charging fast charging solution 3.0. In addition, there is a 48-pin dual Type-C port on the side, which doubles as a display port for the second twin dock. ASUS provides a 30W fast charging adapter in the box.
