Aston Martin DBS GT Zagato: 760bhp special revealed

Aston reveals the second part of its most expensive new models built as part of the £6m DBS Century Mate collection

Aston Martin's ultra-exclusive DBZ Century collection has been revealed in its entirety, with GT Zagato protection coming into the DB4 GT Zagato car brought in earlier this week.

Presented at an event in Rhode Island, at £6m (plus local taxes) a pair of valuable new business built. They are sold exclusively as a pair, valued at £6m plus local taxes, and are limited to 19 models each.

A completely redesigned version of the DBS Schaffhausen supercar, the DBS GT Zagato sees power from a 5.2-liter turbocharged V12 engine boosted from 715bhp to 760bhp. The exterior has exclusive supernova red paint, exposed carbon fiber accents, black and gold 3D-turned rims and 18k gold decals.

Aston claims to be the first in the world to use charcoal and metal on an interior 3D printer, with one coating taking 100 hours to print and prepare. The first samples of the collection will be delivered to customers at the end of 2019.

The decibel modeling was done by the design team of Zagato and Aston Martin. It features a "double bubble" roof styled after the original that runs from the windshield to the rear of the car, replacing the rear window.

The front of the car was also restyled, with a similarly themed bubble, new headlights and an updated Zagato front grille. The car will get a unique wheel design too.

Previously, the DB4 GT Zatago sequel was reported as a trail-only car because the specifications will closely match the 58-year-old original design. Which will include an updated version of the original inline six-cylinder engine, power increased to 380 hp.
