Self-destructing messages for WhatsApp are on the way, and the recently released beta shows a few significant changes to how they work.
BetaInfo found that in version 2.19.348 of the WhatsApp beta for Android, self-destructing messages function has been renamed. Formerly known as Disappear Messages, it is now called Disappear Messages. The latest beta version also changes the time limits that can be used to automatically delete messages.

In previous beta versions, it was only possible for messages to be automatically deleted after fives of seconds or an hour. With a new name comes new variants. As things stand in delete messages, you will be able to have messages deleted after an hour, day, week, month or year.
WABetaInfo shared the news of the changes, noting that deleting messages also has dark mode support.
It is impossible to say when this feature will appear in the WhatsApp messages version, however we will keep you posted when it happens.
Like many Android apps, there is a beta program for the WhatsApp app in the Google Play store. Unfortunately, there is currently no room for new beta testers, but more may become available at any time.
