Resident Evil 3 Remake Gets First Trailer And Release Date

The Resident Evil 3 remake has been officially announced by Capcom following previous leaks, and it has a release date of April 3, 2020. The first trailer looks good in keeping with the tone of this year's Resident Evil 2 remake, with the same dark image of Raccoon City and very realistic character models.

Spin, it's a multiplayer game, too. The Resistance Project, which was announced a few months ago, is a 1v4 asymmetric online game that's part of the Resident Evil 3 package. So, it's a bonus, even if previous attempts to fight it to add multiplayer to the rez series have had mixed results.

After the significant success of the Resident Evil 2 remake, we expected a third PlayStation game to get a facelift too, but not as quickly. It's a nice surprise by the end of the year, and hopefully will continue Capcom's recent run of good form already with survival horror since the release of Resident Evil 7.

Resident Evil 3 should be available for pre-order starting today, and will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
