Moto RAZR 2020 pre-order official date: Jan 22 (UK), Jan 26 (US)

Having got our hands on the Moto RAZR back in November 2019, we got pretty excited about this retro thing back in new shape. But then, uh, Motorola delayed the pre-order date, which should be December 26, 2019.

There was no panic though. Fortunately, there is a new official pre-order date on the table once again. In the UK, where this phone is the exclusive carrier of ee, you can sign on the dotted line from January 22nd. Various plans are available, with 60GB of data priced at 30GB for $99 in a 24-month monthly plan (with a £50 one-time fee). The phone will be in your hands from February 19th.

In the US, you'll have to wait a couple of days longer, as pre-orders are set for January 26, according to Engadget. The phone is exclusive to Verizon (from $62.49/month on a 24-month plan), or you can pick it up from Walmart or Motorola's own website (for $1499.99). Expect to receive the phone by February 6th, which we consider the first territory to see the phone arrive.

The locked-in-carrier situation is due to the fact that the RAZR is Yesim only, hence the UO (UK) and Verizon (US) exclusives.

So what else can you expect from this phone? Go ahead and check out our phone preview to get more look at the flip mechanism, second screen, battery and other issues.

Not without competition though, as per Samsung's clamshell foldable, the Z Flip is expected to follow in hot pursuit of Moto's most premium phone.
