Beat with checker

Simply put, to saber what it would be like to be a Jedi sucked into the throne to play dance dance revolution. If that sounds like a wild mix, because he is: saber slashing and slashing players with swords on a music track. Neon is everywhere, and blocks and obstacles fly at the player, requiring artistic slashing, expert saber manipulation and careful dodging throughout.

Although it has been in Early Access for a long time, Saber is now an official release and boasts "highly positive" reviews on Steam. The game comes with music tracks and levels made by the developers, but for gamers who want a little more variety, mods, support for custom tracks and levels.

Hellblade: sacrifice by Senua's server

Originally on console and on PC, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is an example of a game that carries over very well for VR. In fact, in some cases playing this game in VR even boosts the experience, so if you've already played it and enjoyed it, it might be worth the next round.

Between its design, its sound and its haunting, sometimes chilling atmosphere, Hellblade is a game that draws you in on any platform, but with VR there's just an extra element of immersion. You'll also get some unique options on how to choose different angles: third person standard, top-down, or down-low, looking up from the grass.

In terms of controls and mechanics, Hellblade isn't a completely flawless VR experience, but it's a fantastic example of what the platform is capable of in terms of graphics and story.

No man heaven

No Sky Man wasn't the best start when it first launched, but it's come a very long way since then with a wide range of updates that have given players a lot more to see and do. In particular, one of the updates will include support for VR.

Gaming on HTC with a Vive headset is a great way to immerse yourself in a very colorful open world game and bring it to life. Seems natural, fit for a game that is so immersive. The great thing is that if you already own the games, VR comes as part of a free upgrade.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR

You may have visited Skyrim many times before, but there is something special about your first trip to virtual reality.

Released just a couple of days before Live Pro launch, Skyrim VR feels ready for the improved headset resolution it offers and features enhanced comfort, meaning it'll be easier to explore longer.

This is the complete Scrolls: Skyrim experience, including the DLC, so if you're looking for long-term immersion, you've found it.

Laboratories

Designed to help Vive beginners understand what their headset is capable of, lab recommended.

It brings together many mini-games, set inside the doorway of the science of the universe. You'll be doing everything from fixing a robot to defending a castle - it's a fantastic introduction to the range of events you can have in VR and, best of all, it's completely free.

La Noire: in the case of VR files

First released in 2011, La Noir has had something of a resurgence since the Nintendo Switch and VR release.

This is not the original game, but rather a version specifically for VR. You've been placed in Detective Cole Phelps' well polished shoes and it's your job to solve seven cases from the game.

You can search for the keys and pick them up to check them, write them down in your notebook, drive your car and interrogate witnesses with the immersion increase offered by BP.

Fallout 4 VR

Now may be the best time to drop yourself into the wide, magnificent and often scary wasteland in Fallout 4.

You need a powerful computer for this game to look its best, but the immersion is unmatched. And with the improved resolution in Vive Pro, you'll see all the interactive objects in the world even more.

If you've played Fallout 4 on any other platform and you've left the fan behind, it's worth trying it out here again for a completely new way to play. Just don't scream too loud when the wild ghoul gets you from behind.

Tamper

Fast and brutal, Thumper is a rhythm action game quite unlike any other. That you'll be cursing never before returning to the last one to go up against the last boss.

Despite how difficult it may be, though, it's excellent, and its thumping electronic soundtrack with its fast, colorful trippy and world-matching resolution and headphones on the HTC Vive Pro.

Tilt Brush

The tilt brush is not so much a game as an experience, but we think it will be very enjoyable on the HTC Vive Pro.

With the tilt brush, you are given space to paint whatever you want in the XNUMXD world around you. You can paint everything from neon light to fire in a wide range of colors, which should take a really pop resolution.

Paranormal Activity: Lost Souls

More than any other genre, horror is truly capable of showing what virtual reality can do, and paranormal activity is a great example of this.

Based on the popular movie franchise, this game puts you in a harmless but abandoned suburban house with nothing more than a flashlight and a very real feeling that you're not alone.

The game's VR mode has no direction and no heads-up display - you're allowed to fully immerse yourself in the game world, for better and worse.

With scares being random, you never know what will happen next. This game is a perfect example of the need for built-in headphones on VR headsets – the sound is a big part of the scare.

Budget Cuts

Budget cuts have become something of a classic for VR and stealth fans. Budget cuts have players sneak around the office and take on robots as needed.

The corporation has already come up with a rather tricky mechanic in VK with this name: players shoot from a portal that they can look at before making a move. This portal, combined with some number-scale, gives players many ways to get around, sneak up on robots, and surprise them with a quick knife.

Batman: Arkham VR

Originally only available for Data, this too short but exceptionally good Batman VR game can now be played on the HTC Vive. You are Batman (out of course) and you must solve mysteries, find clues and take part in solving problems around Gotham. It's very atmospheric, well done, and at times surprisingly creepy. It may be on the short side, but it's still one of our favorite VR experienced and great to show VR newbies what they've been missing out on.

Moss

Data released, Polyarc Moss is now available on HTC Vive via Steam and is a must play, especially if you're looking for a puzzle platformer with a charming story to enjoy.

In a fantasy kingdom, players must help a young mouse named Goose, who is on a quest to save her uncle. Like in a fairy tale, this game is suitable for everyone and offers an immersive experience with a truly innovative level design. This is a great example of what VR is capable of and the fact that you can high five with a pen is a very strong selling point.

Moss looked great on the datasheet, but Vive players can take advantage of improved resolution and finer motion control.
