How to find out which Instagram accounts appear in your channel the most

Instagram has a new feature that allows you to filter the accounts you follow by 'most shown in feed' or 'less interacted with'.

The point of this is to give you the ability to better customize your Instagram feeds - just by making it easier for you to see which accounts you follow and love or hate, and it makes it easier for you to decide if you should continue to follow them. Here's how it works.

How to find out which Instagram accounts you follow

Open the latest Instagram mobile app on your iPhone or Android phone. From the menu bar running through the app, select the profile icon to access your profile and then navigate to the next tab in your profile. Here you can see which accounts you will follow.

Most shown in the feed

On the next screen, you will see the categories section. Select the most show in feed (it should also tell you how many accounts are in that category) and then view the accounts from the most posts in your feed in the last 90 days. You will see buttons to manage your subsequent states, or you can select more (…) next to your account to manage its notifications or turn it off.

At least interact with

On the next screen, you will see the categories section. Select Least Encountered (it should also tell you how many accounts are in that category) and then view the accounts you've interacted with in the last 90 days. You will see buttons to manage your subsequent states, or you can select more (…) next to your account to manage its notifications or turn it off.

Note: "chatted with" means likes on posts or you react to their stories.

Why is it so important?

Instagram basically makes it easier to manage the accounts you make sure they best reflect your current interests and relationships.

When will this feature be available?

A new Instagram feature is rolling out now, as part of an app update. Pocket Lint has already played with them on the iPhone.
