Apex Legends Season 4: Latest Updates, News, Tips, Patch Notes and

EA surprised many with the sudden announcement of Apex Legends back in February 2019, a free-to-play battle royale shooter that sees the publisher go toe-to-toe with PlayerUnknown's mammoth genre across Battlegrounds and now Fortnite Battle Royale.

Developed by Respawn Entertainment and set in the Titanfall universe, Apex Legends is a team-based battle royale shooter where teams of three go up against 57 other players to try and collect the loot and be the last person (or squad) standing.

However, unlike now in Fortnite and PUBG, top legends players take on one of eight classes, each featuring a unique character (imagine now Fortnite mixed with Overwatch and you'll be on the right track.)

Apex Legends has already celebrated one year of playing and is in its fourth season, Assimilation, which began on February 4, 2020.

If you're new to Apex Legends and looking to see what you've been missing or you've fallen off the map for a while and you want to catch up on the latest, we're here to keep you updated on what's fresh in Apex Legends.

  • Apex legends commentary: official dedicated verdict

As we said in our full Apex Legends commentary:

“To tell you the truth, Royal never grabbed me in a fight. I've dabbled in PUBG and spent a dozen or so hours now on Fortnite, but nothing quite hits the spot. Apex though, I have a hook, line and sinker. With intuitive controls, an outstanding communication system, and great Arkhar players, Respawn has created what looks like AAA walks for the genre."

  • What's new? Only players can return to King's Canyon in one weekend

Return to King's Canyon

The respawn allows Apex Legends players to return to the game's original map, King's Canyon, but only for a limited time.

The card will be available in one time form from February 21 until February 24 before it disappears again. Those who highly prefer the edge of the New World map will be happy to know that it's still available, so you have a choice.

Apex Assimilation of Legends

As of February 4, 2020, Apex of Legends: Assimilation is in full swing.

So what's new? Well, there's a new legend, new weapons, map changes, and a combat path to get started. Read on for a rundown of what to expect.

New Legend

Like previous seasons, Apex of Legends season 4 introduced a brand new legend. This time things went a little differently. Initially, Forge, a robotic advanced fighter was introduced as a legend for the 4th season. However, he was then killed and replaced with a ghost (fans of the character have long suspected, at least in Season 4 of Legend).

The Revenant is also known somewhat more, which is characteristic, as the "synthetic nightmare" was once human and "the greatest hitman the mercenary syndicate has ever had". But when his programming failed, he saw his employers and Hammond Robotics turn him into: "a walking nightmare of steel and rudimentary flesh."

The ghost vowed to take revenge and kill all those involved in the destruction of his life. Now, two centuries later, Hammond Robotics has returned to Outland, and it has renewed its vow to bring out all who deal with Hammond Robotics.

Those familiar with the Titanfall universe will know Hammond Robotics as the creators of the Titans and it looks like they will be playing a big role in the apex of the legend this season.

In terms of abilities, the ghost's tactical ability is "silence", which allows him to throw out a device that deals damage and blocks the opponent's abilities for ten seconds. His passive ability is "Stalker", which allows him to crouch-walk faster and climb higher than other legends. Finally, his last ability is Death Totem, which allows him to discard a totem that protects those who use it from death for a set amount of time. Instead of being killed or knocked down, the player will be returned to the totem.

New Weapons

The Sentinel has been confirmed as a new weapon in Season 4 of Apex Legends. It is described as a powerful bolt-action sniper rifle that stands apart from other weapons of its kind, as it does with the mechanic's charge. In the Dev Stream released before the start of the season, it was hinted that this mechanic will give players a little more choice when you're injecting and could provide some interesting gameplay.

Map Changes

Season 4 brought some changes to the map, the designs of which were driven by the desire to "force the player to make new decisions."

The planet harvester is a key addition to the edge of the world's horizon. Hammond Robotics is using a device to collect materials from the planet's core for unknown (but rather disgusting) reasons.

The planet harvester offers a large, multi-level space in which to play and since there was nothing like it, it brings new gameplay options. According to Renaissance, fighting in the area tends to be "self-sufficient as squads will tend to enter the fighting through long corridors that lead into the center of the structure". This is expected to make third parties more predictable.

And how to change, the planet harvester made some changes: it divided the capital into two.

Now the city consists of two zones, a fragment fragment East and West, with a large fault of dead space between them. This crack can only be crossed in two places with the help of ropes and the skyscraper's fallen bridge.

if you not lucky enough to fall into gaps between zones due to bad timing of the jump or just curiosity, you'll find yourself being carried back slowly and landing on the other side you were probably trying to get to. The downside is you will take 25 damage per fall and as you swim you risk becoming a target for enemies.

A smaller addition to the survey camp. This zone will have weapon racks that will have guaranteed weapons to grab, making it a tempting place to visit.

Anniversary Event

And season 4 will be released on the first anniversary of the Apex legend, there will be a special event. According to the revival, those who log into the game during the first week of Season 4 (February 4th to February 11th) will receive an anniversary gift. this includes 1 year Origami flyer charm, 1 year badge of allegiance and 10k experience on the first match of the day every day the event runs.

Battles Pass

It's not a new season of Apex Legends without a new battle path. For 950 Apex Coins, you can pick up this pass that offers 110 levels to climb through daily and weekly challenges, with over 100 exclusive items including Legendary Skins, Apex Packs, Loading Screens and Music Packs to earn.

Players who pick up to battle will immediately transfer to unlock the legendary r99 inaccurately: zero point skin and three new epic tales skins. Reaching the end of the levels can see you earning rare and legendary rewards like drain health lifeline, blue steel crypto, cyber pranked Wattson and heat sink stalls.

League Series Ranked 3

Along with Season 4, a Series 3 ranked league was also launched.

The League Series ranked 3 brings several changes including splits and a new level: Level Master.

As the respawn sees more players move up the rankings to become the top predators, he finds it increasingly difficult to "demonstrate skill between any two predators this season". As a result, a new stage, the master stage, was added between the diamond and the Predator.

Players must reach 10,000 RP to make it to the master level, as was the case with Apex Predator. The stock tier will now be exclusive to the top 500 players on each platform, so players who reach the Predator tier could find themselves dropping into the master rank if other players earn more RP than them. Respawn said, "We feel it should give more prestige to make and keep your top predator rankings while keeping levels above diamond very exclusive."

As for the splits, after looking at the lengths of the previous series e place, the respawn decided that series 3 would be three months like series 1, but it would be split into two splits.

This means that the series from #3 is essentially two parts, with Cut 1 taking place at the edge of the world, while Split 2 will allow things to be brushed back into place back in King's Canyon.

Split 1 will run between February 3rd and March 23rd, and Split 2 will follow from March 24th to May 5th.

A soft reset will occur between each split, and Respawn has confirmed that "place rewards will be given at the highest level that is achieved in any split of the series, but exclusive animated icons will be given out if you can do it at the same level as a split."

There are also some new party game restrictions in the new place series. Players will find that once they get to Platinum or higher, they will only be able to party with players who are 1 step apart from them. He hoped this would keep matches tighter when it comes to higher levels of skill.

As far as what will remain the same, players will continue to see a soft reset happen in the new series. So, "at the start of series 3 everyone will be soft resetting their position to take 1,5 tiers down. This means that if you have season 3 finished in Gold II, you will reset to Silver Yves. Players from Platinum IV will reset to Silver II, and Apex Predators will reset to Platinum II." As previously stated, soft resets will now also take place at the beginning of each Split.

Recording the value of the RP in the ordered series is also the same and there will be no further changes to the scoring system.

Apex Legends

Now that the launch date for Season 4 has been confirmed to be February 2020, we're tying up the end of the world for Apex Legends. No doubt in the coming months, Respawn will set and reveal his new goals for the second game of the year.

Is Apex Legends coming to mobile?

Yes. In EA's quarterly earnings report, the publisher announced that it is looking at bringing a respawn entertainment-developed game to mobile platforms for both South Korea and China.

“We are in an advanced stage of negotiations with China and Mobile,” EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said before later mentioning South Korea as another expansion point.

We shouldn't expect to see Apex Legends on Android for at least a year though. According to advisor to the chief executive, Andrew Wilson, the game won't start until fiscal year 2021.
