Update: Disney released Frozen 2 on Disney Plus in the US, and in the tweet below. In Australia, Canada, the Netherlands and New Zealand you can watch it on Tuesday March 17th. Take the free Disney Plus trial here if you haven't given the service a go yet.
Original story: Frozen 2 is coming to Disney Plus in the US on June 26, with a new listing on the streaming service. This update was noticed by user jonnyslats on Disney plus subreddit, which means that only two of Disney's best movies from 2019 lack a release date on the service now - Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.
On Disney Plus Australia, the listing page says Frozen 2 is coming on July 31st. Since Disney Plus UK hasn't launched yet, we're not sure when the movie will, ahem, show up on the UK version of the service.
Over the past few months, Disney Plus has kept things ticking along with a mix of big movies from 2019 and a trickle of films arriving from other services as licensing deals expire. Starting in January, live-action versions of The Lion King and Aladdin went into service, as noticeably lacking are movies like Black Panther.
Frozen 2 is likely to be a massive draw for the streaming service: it was the third highest-grossing movie of 2019 at $1.449 billion, behind just two other Disney films, Avengers: Endgame and The Lion King. Frozen 2 was released on digital home video on February 25 - so the wait time for it to land on Disney Plus is almost exactly four months.

What is worth watching at this time?
While Disney Plus still has new originals like Diary of a Future President, Timmy's flop and the final season of The Clone Wars, its bigger originals are coming later this year. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (August), The Mandalorian season 2 (October) and WandaVision (December) are a little further away.
It's a long wait, but Disney Plus remains pretty good value at a flat $6.99 / £5.99 / AU$8.99 a month or $69.99 / £59.99 / AU$89.99 a year, especially if you have kids. They really need to do an overhaul of The Simpsons aspect ratio though.
