At a glance

  • The Fitbit Air goes on sale in India on October 2 for ₹13,999 (about $146)
  • The box includes a Performance Loop band and 3 months of Google Health Coach
  • No date or price has been announced for Ukraine

Google has started selling the Fitbit Air in India. The new fitness tracker hits stores on October 2 at ₹13,999, roughly $146 at the time of the announcement. It comes in four colors: Obsidian, Berry, Lavender and Fog.

The Fitbit Air is not a replacement for a full sports watch with navigation or map-based workouts. It’s a lightweight tracker for daily activity, sleep and basic health metrics. Shipments to a new market matter for Fitbit: the budget wearables segment remains competitive, and more and more users choose bands over bulky watches.

What’s in the box

Along with the tracker, buyers get a Performance Loop band made from recycled materials and three months of Google Health Coach. The company also offers extra bands: the silicone Active Band for workouts and the more understated Elevated Modern Band.

The bundle shows who the device is for: not someone who wants a second mini smartphone on their wrist, but someone who wants a compact helper for movement, sleep and habits. So when choosing, compare not only the list of sensors but also comfort, battery life, the app and which features are available in your country.

What to check before buying

  • check whether the model is officially sold in your country;
  • check the app language and subscription terms after the trial period;
  • don’t treat the tracker’s readings as a medical diagnosis;
  • compare its price with fitness bands from Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung and Amazfit in local stores.
