Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27, and Cyber Monday on November 30. In Ukraine, sales usually last longer than one day: in 2025, ROZETKA ran its promotion from November 24 to 30, and Epicentr from November 21 to December 1. When is Black Friday 2026
Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving in the US, which is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. In 2026, Thanksgiving falls on November 26, so the main sale day is November 27, and Cyber Monday is November 30.

How Black Friday works in Ukraine
Ukrainian retailers stretch Black Friday over several days, sometimes as many as 10–11. Here are past sale periods, according to the stores themselves and news outlets:

Stores haven’t announced their 2026 dates yet: as of September 22, the Black Friday pages of Epicentr and Citrus still showed the 2025 terms. If the pattern repeats, the first deals will appear in the last ten days of November, and the last ones will run until roughly Cyber Monday, November 30.
It pays to watch prices earlier. According to a study by the agency Webpromo cited by Forbes Ukraine, search interest and the number of promotions start growing in the first days of November.
What to prepare in advance
Make a short list
Keep one or two models in each category you need, not twenty similar ones. For a laptop, note the processor, amount of RAM and SSD, and the display; for a smartphone, the storage, color, regional version and support for the network bands you need.
Write down the usual price
Save links to the product and its prices at two or three stores. On Hotline, a price history chart sits next to the price and records the average price every day, and the eye icon lets you subscribe to a price drop to the amount you are willing to pay. Check the seller, box contents and warranty
The same name doesn’t always mean the same product: a laptop may have a different display or amount of memory, a phone may be made for another market, and headphones may come with different accessories. Compare the exact model number. Before you order, an online store is required by law to give you its name and address, the price including delivery, its warranty obligations and how to cancel the contract.
Set a budget limit
Add up the total: the price, delivery, the fee for paying in installments if there is one, and taxes when ordering from abroad. That way a “bargain” won’t end up costing more than at a local store.
Which tech is worth buying
There is no universal list: a good buy is something you were already planning to get, at a price below its usual level in the price history. That said, according to the same Webpromo study, household appliances become the most sought-after category on Black Friday.
According to Foxtrot, on Black Friday 2024 its customers bought 4.5 times more coffee machines compared with the previous three weeks of November, 3.5 times more multicookers and almost three times more laptops. At Allo, sales of portable power stations grew more than fivefold, and sales of power banks, gaming products and TVs more than threefold compared with mid-November.

Don’t look only at new releases: a discounted previous-generation phone or laptop can do the same job for less. How to tell a real discount from a fake one
- Compare the sale price with the one you wrote down in advance and with the price chart on Hotline or E-Katalog.
- Check the exact model number: the “old price” may turn out to be the price of a more expensive version.
- Add up the cost of the product, delivery and payment fees.
- See who is actually selling the item: on a marketplace it may be a third-party seller with its own warranty and return terms rather than the store itself.
- Read the return policy before you pay, not after the parcel arrives.
Returns and exchanges after the sale
A sale doesn’t cancel your rights as a buyer. Derzhprodspozhyvsluzhba reminds shoppers that notices like “sale items cannot be returned or exchanged” contradict the Law “On Consumer Rights Protection.” Discounted tech is also covered by warranty repair under Article 8 of the law.
Non-food goods of proper quality can be exchanged at the seller within 14 days, not counting the day of purchase (Article 9), if you haven’t used the item, its appearance, seals and labels are intact, and you have the receipt. If no equivalent is in stock, you can pick another product and settle the price difference, or cancel the purchase and get a refund within 7 days.
The exceptions are listed in Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 172 of March 19, 1994. Smartphones, laptops and TVs are not on that list, but toothbrushes and shaving devices are. Electric models aren’t named separately, so check the exchange terms for an electric toothbrush or shaver before buying, and choose the model in advance — for example, with our electric toothbrush ranking.
For online purchases, Article 13 applies: you can withdraw from the contract by notifying the seller within 14 days of the order confirmation or of receiving the goods. The item must remain unchanged. The rule doesn’t apply, for example, to recordings and software on physical media once you’ve opened the factory seal, or to digital goods and services delivered online with your consent before the period ends.
These rules come from the current law of 1991. The new consumer protection law No. 3153-IX will take effect only after martial law ends or is lifted; as of September 22, 2026, martial law has been extended until October 31.
Buying from abroad: what to consider
A price in dollars can look attractive, but the total depends on delivery, taxes and where the warranty is valid. Prices at US stores are usually listed without sales tax, which is added at checkout.
As of September 22, 2026, parcels worth up to €150 are not taxed in Ukraine. Above the limit, you pay 10% import duty on the excess, and 20% VAT is charged on the excess plus the duty: for a €200 purchase, that’s €5 in duty and €11 in VAT.
On September 16, 2026, Ukraine’s parliament passed bill No. 16051-1 in the first reading; it would introduce VAT on goods from foreign marketplaces regardless of their value. If it becomes law, the new rules will take effect no earlier than January 1, 2027.
US models also have hardware differences. iPhone 14 and later models bought in the US work only with eSIM and have no SIM tray. Chargers come with a US plug, and laptop keyboards usually lack Cyrillic letters.
For expensive devices, service matters most. If a broken phone or laptop has to be shipped back to another country at your own expense, the savings will quickly disappear, so check where the warranty is valid before you pay.
Checklist before you pay
- The model, storage, color and regional version match the ones you chose.
- The price is below the one you wrote down in advance, not just below the crossed-out price on the page.
- The total includes delivery, fees and taxes.
- The site lists the seller’s name and address, the warranty and the return procedure.
- You will keep the receipt: without it, you can’t exchange an item of proper quality.
- You actually need the item, and it didn’t land in your cart because of a sale countdown.
