The best home printer in 2026 for most families is the Epson EcoTank L4360: refillable ink tanks instead of cartridges, automatic two-sided printing and a scanner for UAH 17,141. On a smaller budget, get the Brother DCP-T430W for UAH 9,699; for documents and occasional printing, the Canon i-SENSYS LBP246dw II laser; for photos, the Epson EcoTank L8050 or the compact Canon SELPHY CP1500.

Among the inkjet all-in-ones here, the L4360 is the most affordable one with automatic two-sided printing: a 20-page report fits on 10 sheets without flipping them by hand. The box includes a set of Epson 101 ink plus an extra bottle of black; Epson says that is enough for about 14,000 black-and-white and 5,200 color pages. You will have to scan multi-page documents one sheet at a time, since only the L6370 has a document feeder.

The DCP-T430W is the cheapest ink tank printer on this list, yet it is no slower than the L4360: 16 black-and-white pages per minute (ISO). The full bottles in the box last for 7,500 black-and-white and 5,000 color pages, and a spare BTD100BK black bottle cost UAH 498 at Brain, which works out to about UAH 0.07 per page. The savings show in the hardware: an LED panel instead of an LCD, while printing and scanning from a phone go through the Brother Mobile Connect app.

The L3350 is the most compact ink tank printer here: a 361 × 317 mm footprint and 4.2 kg, so it fits on a shelf, while Wi-Fi Direct and AirPrint let you print from a phone without a router. Epson says its 103 ink bottles last for 4,500 black-and-white and 7,500 color pages. The trade-off for the small size is speed (11 pages per minute) and manual two-sided printing; the version with a color display is called the L3360.

A laser pays off if you mostly print text: the LBP246dw II turns out 40 pages per minute, the first in about 5 seconds, and a 070H cartridge rated for 10,200 pages cost UAH 8,557 at MOYO, or about UAH 0.84 per page. Toner is a dry powder, so breaks in printing do not affect it, while inkjets sometimes need a print head cleaning after a long pause, which uses up ink. The MF465dw II uses the same 40-page-per-minute engine as the LBP246dw II and adds a scanner, copier and fax. Its 50-sheet feeder scans both sides in a single pass, at up to 100 images per minute in black and white, and sends the files to email or a network folder. A full 070 cartridge for 3,000 pages comes in the box, but the machine takes up a lot of room: 420 × 460 × 375 mm and 16.3 kg.

The 3303fdw is for a home office that needs color in documents rather than photos: 25 pages per minute in color, two-sided printing and scanning, fax and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Color laser printing is expensive: with 222X high-yield cartridges (black cost UAH 6,743 and each color UAH 7,638 at Brain), a color page comes to about UAH 11.3 and a black-and-white page to UAH 2.11. HP warns that the printer may block cartridges with third-party chips, so do not count on cheap refills.

The L8050 is Epson’s photo printer with six Claria ET Premium ink colors: light cyan and light magenta join the usual four. It is not a new model, but it is Epson’s current A4 photo printer, and it can also print on CDs/DVDs and plastic cards. Epson says one ink set lasts for about 2,300 10×15 cm photos; a set of six 108 bottles cost UAH 4,950 on Rozetka, or about UAH 2.2 of ink per print, not counting photo paper.

The SELPHY CP1500 uses dye-sublimation and covers each print with a clear protective layer; Canon’s tests say such prints last up to 100 years in an album. An RP-108 pack with ribbon and paper for 108 photos cost UAH 1,999 at MOYO, so a 10×15 cm print comes to about UAH 18.5, more than on the L8050, but the printer fits in a bag. To print away from an outlet, you need the NB-CP2LI battery, sold separately.

How to choose a home printer
Ink tank, cartridge or laser
An ink tank printer (a factory-built continuous ink system) costs more up front, but its ink bottles are rated for thousands of pages. Epson calculates that EcoTank saves up to 90% on ink compared with popular printers in the same class. A cartridge inkjet is cheaper in the store, but if you print regularly, the cost of cartridges quickly eats up the difference.
A laser printer makes sense if you mostly print text or print rarely: toner is a dry powder, so pauses between jobs do not affect it. A color laser is only worth it if you print a lot of color documents, since each page costs dozens of times more than on an ink tank printer.
What a page costs
The math is simple: divide the price of an original supply by the yield the manufacturer lists for it. Makers calculate ink yields with ISO/IEC 24712 test pages and toner yields under ISO/IEC 19752 and 19798; real documents will give different results. Prices are as of September 30, 2026.

Wi-Fi, apps and Ethernet
All nine models connect over Wi-Fi and work with their makers’ apps, and most support Wi-Fi Direct for printing from a phone directly, without a router. The Epson L6370, both Canon i-SENSYS models and the HP 3303fdw also have an Ethernet port: a cable to the router is more reliable if the printer sits nearby. Two-sided printing and document feeders
Automatic two-sided printing halves your paper use and saves you from flipping pages by hand; the Epson L4360 and L6370, both Canon i-SENSYS models and the HP 3303fdw have it. A document feeder matters if you copy or scan multi-page contracts: on this list, the Epson L6370, Canon MF465dw II and HP 3303fdw have one, and on the last two it is single-pass, scanning both sides of a sheet at once.
What not to buy
- A color laser for photos. It is good for color documents, while for photos there are inkjet photo printers such as the Epson L8050, with six ink colors and borderless printing.
- An HP printer for cheap refills. HP states plainly that printers with dynamic security may block cartridges with third-party chips, now or after a firmware update.
- An inkjet for printing once a month. If you print rarely and only text, a laser printer avoids print head cleanings altogether.
- Models from old rankings. Before you buy, check that the model is still on the maker’s website and that original ink or toner for it is sold in Ukraine.
